Where did I leave you?

Seems like a long time since I last showed you the portrait on my easel.

Colorful Pastels wait their turn.

The love affair continues. Pastels are waiting their turn at the easel. I am eager to use them.

Adjusting the darks and lights.
Establish fine details.

I will probably go back in a final time to fine tune darks, lights, and reflected light.

Thank you for all the notes, email, texts of kindness and get well wishes. The good news is that Robert and I are starting to feel better. The bad news is – we are still testing positive for COVID-19. Resting and painting. I can do that. Robert is resting and exploring the universe at the same time. I hear galactic laser sounds coming from his office while the cats keep him warm in his recliner.

Uncle Gene! I love you! I love Aunt June too. Mama’s favorite brother! You are absolutely right about Wetland Gold. My first ribbon ever was a painting I did of you! “Off Shore Prophet.” Love some king mackerel. Love you so much Uncle Gene!

That painting still hangs over my desk, and I see it every day, right now even. I remember that day just like it was yesterday. Your capturing every detail makes it stand alive! Love you and Robert, and your mom VERY much !

Hey! Thank you. All over but a little congestion now, and some tired eyes. That might be the pollen. Hope to be back next week.

That is fabulous. Your work makes me look so good. You are the best. I love getting to see it in progress. I have to be careful when I open up your site or text to make sure Mama is not walking by. Keeping the secret is getting harder the more progress you make. Love it and love you!!!

    • Michel McNinch on March 22, 2023 at 7:10 pm

Love you right back! Can’t wait to hear what you Mama thinks. I have a couple ideas about that. I want you to come to the studio soon and take a look and help me with some details.
