Metal Leaf Mania
Oct 16, 2022
Good afternoon! Is it still Sunday? This is coming to you a little late, because Robert and I tried to learn how to do a video for you. It was easier than I thought to make it. Here are the results!
Here are two paintings only offered to you until next Sunday! This exclusive is to thank you for looking in each week. This email membership has been a wonderful way to connect with like-minded art lovers and share my painting practice. I am enjoying it so much, and hope you do too. It makes email fun again! : ) Please contact me directly if you would like to add one to your collection. Thank you.
Here is a longer video showing – in real time – how I apply the metal leaf to the cradled panel.
Thank you very sincerely for your interest,
Michel

I absolutely LOVE the video!! You did a great job. I had no idea you handmade the foil. Great info. Keep these coming!!
Candles, stars , holly are some of the images I see.
Loved the explanation of how you prepared the surface.
Awesome video !
Awesome video! I love learning about new techniques. I think an old time Christmas tree in front of a fire place would be nice .
Good job!
That was such fun to watch. Very interesting too. You did a great job, no surprise there. Thanks for doing this.
Great job with the Gold Leaf! And the video!! Perhaps a nativity scene, a Manger or angel! Or an ornament!
Wow…you made it look easy…pretty sure it’s not. Love how excited you are with the new gold leaf…the enthusiasm is infectious!
Since you’re going for the holidays… I can picture an ornate, old fashioned little plate of Xmas cookies (gingerbread man?) with a glass of milk – maybe a little holly…candle light source…but…I’m pretty hungry right now 😉 (you can tell my old advertising & promotion past life is my influence-lol)
Can’t wait to see your solution ❤️
Marvelous, Michel !!!!
THANK YOU!
I can see a whole series of these as a holiday set. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
And you are obviously enjoying yourself! Love it!
Virginia
Great job!!
