Alignment

Nov 12, 2022

Since losing my FaceBook and Instagram social media accounts, I have had a lot of questions. Will the hacker hurt my reputation and/or business? How much time do I have to spend on “the fix?” Will I try to punish those who are responsible? How shall I move on? What platforms are in alignment with how I share my art? How do they treat their customers / investors? So far, I don’t have any answers.

What I have decided to do is wait.

At least until the first of the year, I will be “thinking on it.” During that time, I will be traveling to see cherished family, painting, and thinking on where social media and my art are in alignment. My blog will continue throughout this process, and I look forward to sharing with you each week.

As for the immediate future – as in this coming Thursday, I will be participating in a fabulous group show @ Stormwater Studios in conjunction with our annual local holiday kick off “Vista Lights” sponsored by the Congaree Vista Guild.

Join Stormwater Studios as we kick off the holiday season during the annual Vista Lights celebration. Under the Lights will run November 16th-27th. The opening reception and Open Studios will be Thursday, November 17th, from 5-10pm, and a new Holiday Tree Lighting tradition.

The Next Door Drummers will perform under the tree from 6-7pm and the Heart of Columbia Sweet Adelines will perform from 7:15-7:45pm.

This event is free and open to the public and families are welcome. Stormwater Studios are located at 413 Pendleton Street, Columbia SC. https://www.stormwaterstudios.org

Just for you – a preview of the tree lighting. Isn’t she beautiful!?

Thank you for checking in this week. It is a pleasure and a privilege I do not take for granted.

Michel

I’m so sorry that you were hacked. I have a feeling that it’ll be a while before social media is sorted out from current chaos, so I like your idea of taking some time to consider next steps.
