Floating in the Blue
Jun 18, 2022
I have been floating in the blue. The blue sky paintings are coming along nicely. So very close to finished. They just need the tiny touches that finish a painting, but couldn’t bring my self to rush it. They need to dry. This is an advantage and disadvantage of painting in oils. These are images from my recent trip to Savannah, GA and Fort Pulaski National Monument.
So, here they are. One more time, in process. The next time you see them, they will be completed – art gods willing…

Love the palette of blues I have been able to use in these paintings. I pulled out all my very best paints. Want to use them – not collect them. : )

Look at these beauties! OH MY! Beautiful blues. Love Vasari paint. It is the top of the line!
I am sincerely grateful for all the new subscribers and those of you who have personally told me you are enjoying my weekly posts. Thank you very much.

Really captures the mood, love it !
Thank you, honey. It was a wonderful trip!
Love the complete vision in the diptych!!!

Right back at ya. : )
Thanks, Pam. Love painting with all those blues.
The blues are sumptuous! And somehow the diptych surprised me. I loved looking at the 2 parts, but together—piece de resistance!
The diptych surprised me also! I was painting it as a pair. One got better than the other, so put both on the easel to justify the blues together. All of a sudden, I had another diptych! Meant to be. Thank you for the kind words.
Michel, NOBODY can paint clouds as good as YOU!!! These paintings are awesome, beautiful, I LOVE them!💗🎨🖼
Hello My friend. Hope you are feeling better. Thank you so much for your kind words. They have always inspired me to live up to them! : )
