Finished and Just Beginning
Sep 30, 2023
This week my fall series of paintings were completed and I checked out the venue for an upcoming show. Let me show you…
This painting and the following three comprise a Table Rock State Park Series. It was started in one of my painting classes to show how a series of paintings can all be started on the same day and using the same palette. This gives a great chance that the paintings will hold together as a series. Consistent Harmony. A worthy aim.
This beautiful tree dominated with ease. Tallest, biggest and most vibrant as far as the eye can see. It reminds me of an Aunt to who had a fondness for a particular tree that turned yellow at Thanksgiving each year. Does Fall bring back memories for you?
So, here they are, hanging together. I guess they give each other a run for their money! A day I’ll never forget. The parks are enjoying all this rain. What might that do for the Fall color this year?
There is a little lake in front of Table Rock and a small little area to explore. It is one of the most beautiful places in the whole park. Drive across the street and look for the little paths that will bring you to the lake. Don’t forget your camera.
In other news, there is a new show scheduled for 2024. I am so excited about it. The Jasper Project has scheduled me to hang at Motor Supply Company Oct, Nov, Dec 2024. I went to check out the venue this week with a friend. It is beautiful. BIG walls. I gotta get started!
But the very best thing that happened to me this week happened today. I got to spend some creative time with some of our area’s art teachers. What a beautiful, dedicated group of teachers. It was my pleasure to invite them in my studio for a little creative time.
Check out their Instagram Post to see all the images!
So this is the path taken this week. I am encouraged. Painting, Planning and Visiting with those fostering art in each little one they have the privilege of teaching. Restoring hope through the arts this week.
Thank you for being here –
