Thinking of Holiday Traditions
Nov 23, 2025

“Talking Turkey,” oil, 11×14, McNInch – digitally designed into a holiday card.
Each year during the holidays we do things that bring us together and remind us of traditions specific to ourselves, community and, family and friends. They remind us of who we are and who has come and gone. It is my hope for this year that each of us enjoy and treasure our time together.
One of my favorite traditions is eating oysters with my sister. She was kind enough to bring the Lowcountry to me this year. Oysters! We love them and have been eating them together since grade school. (There’s a story there best left for another time.).

Here’s to taking the time to enjoy ourselves, family and traditions. Slow down and remember traditions past, present and make some for the future.

She was the one taking pictures this time, and we didn’t get one of her. Here’s one of my favorites. This is a selfie from inside a sculpture at Stormwater Studios.
Speaking of Stormwater Studios, we lit the tree for the season last week. Come by and see this beautiful old Cedar lit up for the holidays. It is a Stormwater tradition.

I will be at Stormwater Studios November 26 and 29 from 11am-3pm. Drop in!
My posts to this blog will be sporadic until the end of the year. I am hosting, traveling, and willing to let the spirit move me to what is in store for me. When I return, I will have a clean palette and new year to paint in.

Thank you for being here each week. My wish for each of you is to enjoy some creature comfort this holiday season.
