Tangled up in Blue
Jun 4, 2022
With apologies to Mr. Dylan. : )
My trip to Savannah has inspired three new paintings of beautiful blue skies. They are not quite ready to share, but here is a peek at what’s happening in the studio.
So here I am – in the studio tangled up in blue. Rich blues grace my palette giving me every opportunity to put what I have experienced onto canvas.
This is a photo from my home studio today. Two of the paintings are drying awaiting their turn on the trusty, old easel.
A small detail from the painting I am working on right now. In the beautiful blue sky, a few dark clouds still linger.
Let me show you a blue sky painting that is finished! This is the Duff Green Mansion in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I did this a few years ago, when we spent a wonderful weekend there. We would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
Thank you for looking at my work. I appreciate it very much.

You’re my blue sky, you’re my sunny day.

Ultramarine, Cobalt, Cerulean, Manganese – embarrassment of riches! : )
I have not need of diamonds – give me PAINT!
Beautiful work, as always, Michel.
Thank you, Carolyn. Hope you are enjoying the blog. It is fun to share my painting practice this way.
