A Painting Studio in Springtime
May 13, 2023
Everything in my studio is reflecting this beautiful Spring. I have begun laying in the colors in the Lake Wateree landscape. My favorite paints were involved. Also, with all the beautiful Spring bouquets, it was time for a class demonstration on how to paint a glass vase filled with stems and water. Don’t forget to check in on Frida and Charlie – Spring has been exciting for them too!
WATEREE LANDSCAPE – update
Before and after photos of my beginning palette.
Demonstrations are fast painting (1.5 hours), so only had time for the glass this time. Will try to get the flowers painted soon. I’ll make sure to show you when I get them finished.
Many thanks for your interest in my painting practice. It is a fun time of year to be an artist. Everything inspires! Please let me know what inspires you in Spring. See you next week.
Michel
I love the vase painting! Frida and Charlie just got over stimulated with a squirrel at the window just now, hahahaha
Their favorite time of year! The return of the squirrels.
Michel, painting glass seems magical — brilliant!
It is so much fun. Easier than it looks, but all painting is magic to me! : ). I look up, and there it is. Like a meditation.
💗💗💗🖼 you have that magic touch!!!!!
As do you! Your oceans have a magic touch!
Beautiful still lifes!! I’m inspired by them!!😊💕
That is the best compliment an art teacher could ever get. I look forward to seeing your next paintings. : )
I don’t know how you create such beautiful art. These paintings of flowers in a vase look like a wonderful investment. You get to look at them every day and not have to water them to keep them fresh. Can’t wait to see one in person
Thank you, Jimmy. How’s Janet? I’m sure all of Thomas’ ceremonies have y’all busy. I know how proud you will be to have him at Clemson! Glad he will be within hugging distance. Love y’all.
You’ve inspired me to try to figure out how you paint stems in a glass vase so brilliantly.
One stroke at a time! : ). You can do it too!
