I have been playing with this image for a couple of paintings now. This feels right to me. Might be able to put it to rest – then again – one in purple might be next. You never know!
I have an image I paint over and over. I always start it in purple and then it ends up a different colour. Go for it, I say, but don't chicken out like me and end up with something in red or blue or turquoise. Your work is great by-the-way, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
I love this painting! I like the intensity of the greens in the marshes and the shimmering water. I also paint the same image over and over, I think it's the only way to improve. I also really like your paintings of the shrimp and the cut up lemon.

Absolutely love those cloud. Did you see the clouds last night? A blanket of cloud cover, undulated and twisted. Guess were not used to snow clouds!
