Litchfield Painting Workshop 2025
Oct 11, 2025

Litchfield Beach always delivers.
Ten years ago a dear friend said we ought to paint and have a workshop at the beach.
Of course, I was down for that.

The Ladies of the Traveling Paints have enjoyed each other, painting, and the beach for 10 years. Many came one or two times, and a few have been there almost every time. Each year was special in its own way. A few of the best things are: each morning we watch the sunrise together, each evening we push ourselves to paint a little more, and the hugs as we head home after another year’s event has passed. It has been a miracle to spend that kind of quality time together on a consistent basis, a loving basis, a supportive basis, on a love for the ocean basis, and of course we paint! : ) Happy Anniversary Ladies!

I love how they each have their own perspective.

Bright coastal studio with ocean views, painting supplies, and natural light.

The technique we worked on this year was getting the movement of water in our paintings. Here’s what AI had to say about my demonstration painting: “A textured oil painting capturing the lively movement of the sea with expressive brushwork and muted color palette, emphasizing nature’s power.” I’ll take that! : )

The sun greeted us and the moon bid us farewell. Splendid!
P.S.
I tried to send this post last Sunday. I was unable to edit my photos’ sizes on my iPad, so I couldn’t upload them to the program. I’ll bring my laptop next time.
Try not to miss next Sunday’s post about Springbank Retreat Center in Kingstree, South Carolina. A little oasis of peace.
Thank you for your interest. It is very much appreciated.
