Just What You Always Wanted

Dec 17, 2022

A while back I painted a series of gifts. As the series progressed, the gifts became symbolic to me. I chose one of the paintings from the series to keep for myself. This painting, “Just What You Always Wanted,” is symbolic of my life as an artist. I spent my 20s and 30s working in a law firm. It was a good foundation, but it was not creative. It took some courage, but I struck out to make a life as a working artist. Sure am glad I did. I got just what I always wanted. : )

Thank you. I could not be a working artist without all the wonderful people who have encouraged me.
