The Green Green Grass of Home

Mar 27, 2022

There has been a large painting on my easel, and it has been a joy to paint. Thought you might like to see the process of creating “The Green Green Grass of Home.” It is a familiar subject for me – Station 26 in the back (or the boat ramp) on Sullivan’s Island. This spot is where I am most connected to the earth. From my infancy this spot has provided shrimp, crab, swimming, boating, gathering, and love of nature. Do you have a spot where you are connected to the earth?

Thank you, Barbara. The painting was a labor of love for place. I understand why Monet painted so many haystacks.
