Going with the Flow
Sep 3, 2022
Plein Air painting is so much fun. This week’s paintings were painted at Lake Sheila in Saluda, North Carolina. On that weekend, I painted mountain and sky each morning. It was fun to see the local residents enjoying the water. When I got home, I knew a paddle boarder would give just the right amount of interest and scale.
Maybe the guy in “Go With The Flow,” needs clothes. I’m not sure yet.
Here are a few details of the large piece I’m working on. Current working title is “Big Blue.” What title comes to mind for you?
Click images for a closer look.
It has been another great week of painting with my beloved blues. Thanks for looking in to see what’s happening. Will have more to show next week!
Michel
P.S. Don’t forget to let me know if a title comes to you for “Big Blue.” I am always open to suggestions.
Beautiful!
Thank you. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
You inspire me!
Honored. See you soon.
I love these !
Thanks. I know you love the blue too!
How about Rhapsodies of the Blue?
Could point of interest wear long swim shorts? No speedos please.
No speedos! lol. Rhapsody in Blue is an all time favorite.
Gershwin is too!
Hi, Michel,
Summer Blue, Saluda Blue, etc… Good Morning, Blue…
And as for the paddleboard guy, I would leave it…. expect it will bring a bit of a smile to viewers, if they even notice. I did not notice until I saw the question.
Looks like a wonderful place to paint!
Virginia
Hey Virginia! Thank you for the suggestions. I think I will let the collector decide. But not sure about that either! : )
Love that you painted a paddle boarder! That’s become one of my favorite pastimes! I didn’t notice he wasn’t clothed either. I’d vote for board shorts….
I can just imagine how beautiful it must be from a paddle board. Would want to wear a body cam. As for the board shorts, what color?
