About Face,
artists' group meets each Tuesday
evening at the
Columbia Museum of
Art. A group of artists that gather once a
week to sketch and paint from live models. The group
meets every Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm for
portrait drawing and 7:15-9:15pm for figure drawing. Ten
years ago, a group of artists passionate about
figurative art formed About Face at the museum's old art
school. After years of a nomadic existence, the group
has come home to be the Columbia Museum of Art's newest
membership affiliate group. Participants are invited to
paint, draw, or sculpt from a live model each Tuesday
evening in the museum's basement studios. To members,
About Face is a classroom, a studio, a support network,
and a circle of friends. Sessions are $5 per
single session or $8 for both sessions on the same
night. Curious? Call Leslie Pierce at 803.343.2208.
